My response to "Waking up as a deer: Endless Forest screensaver"

On window.org.nz i found it very hard to find an article that appealed to me because most art was produced through computers. I settled for "Waking up as a deer: Endless Forest screensaver" for it was the closest thing i could get to my personal interest, the out doors.

I was quite disappointed for Luke Munn claims it has a "stunning, lush environment". I disagree for i don’t think that vegetation repetitively printed on a 2D forest floor with visible pixels is particularly "stunning".

The screensaver/game has good intentions, taking the player to a more relaxed mind space. Its not competitive for the player actually benefits from helping other players; this also encourages them to met new avatar friends.

I think Waking up as a deer: Endless Forest screensaver would be boring for most gamers/nerds for there are no goals or levels. Although their avatar evolves as does its environment it is all for nothing (accept for maybe aesthetic pleasure and feeling nice). These features derive them from their notorious competitive personalities there for they'll be left feeling unsatisfied.
