Developement for my Remix image

For my remix I decided to do a surreal image. First I gathered my images from wiki commons. I began with the paddock and a fish poster. To create the effect that the fish were "swimming" I moved them around, flipped them and changed their size.

To make the image more dramatic I selected the previous sky (through the lasso magnetic tool) and replaced it with lightening. To continue this idea of misplacement I thought a random Mayan temple would fit nicely. To ensure it looked in place I used the dropper tool and smudge tool to enable consistent colouring in the grass around it.

Although this all looks obviously out of place, through the use of photoshop I feel it looks physically possible. I like the idea of this obviousness for the point is a mockery of the situation.

I like the idea that you can air brush images to beatify or distort, but also think photoshop is capable of creating completely different scenarios such as surrealism.

I did find the program a little difficult to get my head around with the layers etc. but found with little knowledge you can still create an adequate image.

New Story Board for Film Loop

Over view of film loop project:

Week One-we were taught how to use the video camera and planned film through a storyboard. My group wanted to do a stop motion piece using clay, but were then informed that would be a lot of work when we needed to prioritize on actually loop editing instead.

Week Two- decided to ditch original film loop idea and filmed Majarn dancing in several different locations.

Week Three-were unable to download video for we had too much footage. Also struggled as we were getting info from a mini DV tape. We had to transfer this info from that to pen drive and individually download on to each PC under our user names, phew!

Week Four- finally got all info downloaded and unfortunately had to get rid of a lot of Marjan's sweet moves. Looked at Adobe Premiere Pro and got very afraid.

Week Five-played around with Adobe Premiere Pro and learned how to cut and use different filters, effects etc. Did a very basic loop with speeding up content and reversing it.

Week Six- for the sudio just used Soundbooth to edit files and import them onto Adobe Premiere Pro.

Overall i found this very difficult and had to ask for a lot of help.
